We’re making The Pet Sitter a completely free product. We’ve removed the paid tiers and made our existing tools for independent pet sitters available in one free account. There is no Pro upgrade to buy and no payment card required to get started.
You bring the care, the relationships and the experience. Our job is to make the work around that care easier: keeping bookings organised, remembering a client’s instructions, sending an invoice and sharing an update after a visit.
Those are everyday needs, whether you have your first client or a busy diary. We want you to be able to use the tools that help, without choosing a subscription or wondering whether another client will put you over a plan limit.
Your business tools, included
The free product brings the practical parts of running an independent pet-sitting business together:
- Your own profile and booking links. Share a page with clients so they can request your services and dates. You choose which bookings to accept.
- Clients and pet details. Keep your client list, care information and private notes together. Import clients by CSV without a paid client allowance.
- Bookings and availability. Manage requests and your diary, and subscribe to your calendar feed from your own calendar app.
- Messages and care updates. Keep booking conversations together and send report cards with photos and notes about the care you’ve provided.
- Invoices and records. Create invoices, use automatic invoices for completed bookings, and export records for your bookkeeper. Invoices help you keep track; they do not collect payment for you.
You can use these tools alongside your website, phone calls and the messaging apps your clients already know. You decide how to communicate and how to run your business.
Free software, fair payment for care
Pet parents can use The Pet Sitter for free too. They can request a booking through their sitter’s link and keep track of their bookings, pets and care updates.
Free software does not mean free pet sitting. Sitters set their own rates, and pet parents pay the agreed price directly to their sitter. The Pet Sitter takes no commission from that booking and does not collect, hold or verify the payment. A payment provider you choose may charge its own fees.
The relationship stays between the sitter and their client. You keep your prices, your clients and your earnings.
Keeping the service practical
Moving to free also means being thoughtful about what we run. AI features are currently switched off. Profile review, message review and support are handled by people. If you need help, you can reach us through the help centre.
We’ve also reduced automated email. Important account and booking messages still go out, along with one welcome email when you join. Promotional drips and review-request campaigns are switched off.
Today’s free product is for independent sitters. Team and facility tools are future work. Owner-side sitter search is also coming soon, so your own profile and booking links are the way to work with your existing clients today.
