Pet sitting software comparison

Pet Sitter Plus alternative for independent pet sitters

Already have clients? Compare the tools you need to look after them: client records, booking requests, updates and invoices. The Pet Sitter is built for one independent sitter; it is not a replacement for every scheduling or payment feature in Pet Sitter Plus.

Compare a working day, not a promise of new clients

Pet Sitter Plus provides its full feature suite on every plan, including Solo. It supports recurring visit templates, specific start times, staff scheduling and schedule-based invoicing. Its published US introductory Solo price lasts 12 months; other regions and conditional affiliate offers have different prices.

  • Free includes your profile and booking links, date-range bookings, messaging, report cards and a client list for up to 10 clients. CSV client import is available within that limit.
  • Pro adds unlimited clients, automated invoices for completed bookings, manual invoices and an accounting CSV export. You do not need Pro to try a booking with an existing client.
  • The Pet Sitter takes no booking commission. Choose external payment methods you control, such as bank transfer or your own payment link; provider fees and eligibility still apply. We do not collect, automatically charge or verify receipt of client payments.

Prices below are the vendors’ published USD offers and our EUR subscription, not a currency conversion or savings claim. Check each plan’s features, taxes, billing period and regional terms before buying.

A small, practical switching trial

Before moving your business

  • Keep your original records

Export or retain the records you need from Pet Sitter Plus. Keep issued invoices, payment records and future appointments accessible; do not cancel your existing system before checking them.

  • Check the scheduling fit

List the workflows you rely on: recurring timed visits, staff assignments, card-on-file charges or accounting sync. The Pet Sitter does not replace these today.

Try one client first

  • Add a client or prepare a CSV

Use our CSV template for name, email, phone, suburb, pet summary and notes. Review the imported row before inviting the client. There is no direct Pet Sitter Plus connector.

  • Run the whole workflow

Set your local service currency and rates, create a date-range booking and share your booking link. Try messaging and a report card; with Pro, check the invoice and manually record an actual payment.

Pet Sitter Plus also offers assisted data import. Our import transfers limited client records, not your full business history.

Which is a better fit?

Choose around work you do today, not promised features.

Keep Pet Sitter Plus if

You depend on deeper operations

Recurring timed visits, staff schedules or integrated charging are essential to your working day. Validate those workflows in the competitor’s relevant plan.

Your existing workflow is working

A lower entry price is not a reason to lose records or rebuild a reliable process. Compare the cost of switching as well as the subscription.

Try The Pet Sitter if

You work independently

You want one place for your existing clients, date-range bookings, messages and care updates, without staff-management features.

You control how clients pay

You are comfortable receiving payment outside the platform and marking it paid yourself. Start on Free; choose Pro if invoicing and a larger client list are useful.

What will not move automatically

There is no import of scheduled visits, historical bookings, issued invoices, payment credentials or recurring series. Recreate future work carefully and keep the original records for your own retention obligations.

A short parallel trial is possible, but there is no two-way sync with Pet Sitter Plus. Keep one authoritative schedule and invoice record so you do not double-book or bill twice.

Questions before switching

Can I try this without paying?

Free includes your profile and booking links, date-range bookings, messaging, report cards and a client list for up to 10 clients. CSV client import is available within that limit. Pro adds unlimited clients, automated invoices for completed bookings, manual invoices and an accounting CSV export. You do not need Pro to try a booking with an existing client.

Can I transfer everything from Pet Sitter Plus?

No. You can add clients manually or import a CSV using our template, including a pet summary and notes. Existing bookings, invoices and payment authorisations do not transfer. Start with a small sample and retain your source records.

Does The Pet Sitter take payment from my clients?

The Pet Sitter takes no booking commission. Choose external payment methods you control, such as bank transfer or your own payment link; provider fees and eligibility still apply. We do not collect, automatically charge or verify receipt of client payments.
