A note from the founder
I spent years at Pawshake, one of Europe's largest pet sitting marketplaces, where I led product and engineering and built the systems sitters and owners relied on every day — search, bookings, payments, and trust and safety. I went on to found ModerateKit, a trust and safety platform acquired by Gainsight.

We would rather grow slowly than compromise on trust. Every new profile must pass our manual profile review before it can become eligible for search-engine indexing.
Separate trust signals
A Verified Sitter badge means the profile was manually reviewed and approved. Identity, police-check, and insurance badges are separate and appear only after their own evidence review.
Reviewed by a human
Before a profile can appear in search results or carry the Verified Sitter badge, a person on our team reads its photos and bio and approves it. A sitter can share their own booking link before that — that page carries no badge and is not indexed.
