TL;DR

  • There is now an AI business assistant at the top of your sitter dashboard, on every tab.
  • Ask it things like "How much did I earn last month?", "Which clients haven't booked recently?" or "Who owes me money?" and it looks the answer up in your own data.
  • It is read-only. It can tell you anything about your business and change nothing about it.
  • Free gets 5 questions a week covering how the platform works and how to grow. Pro gets 50 a week plus the tools that read your own numbers. The count resets every Monday.
  • It can only ever see your business. Not another sitter's, not anyone else's.

The question that started this

Every sitter we have spoken to asks some version of the same handful of questions, usually at the worst possible time — Sunday night, tax time, or the week the invoices pile up.

How much did I actually earn last month? Who hasn't booked me since autumn? Which of my services makes the most money per hour? Which invoices are still unpaid?

The information to answer all of those has been on your dashboard for a while. It is in the Earnings tab, the Clients tab, the Analytics tab, the invoice list. The problem was never that the data did not exist. The problem was that answering a one-sentence question meant opening four tabs, exporting a CSV, and doing arithmetic on a Sunday night.

So now you can just ask.

Where it lives

Your sitter dashboard has a chat box at the top of the page. It sits above the tab bar, which means it is there on every tab — Bookings, Earnings, Clients, Availability, Analytics — not hidden behind a sixth tab you have to remember exists.

When you have not asked anything, it is small: a header, a box, and three example questions to tap. Once you start a conversation, the thread appears above it. If you would rather it were out of the way while you work, hide it — it stays hidden until you bring it back, including next time you log in.

What it can actually look at

This is the part worth being precise about, because "AI assistant" means very little on its own.

The assistant answers from two kinds of source, and nothing else.

The platform's own knowledge. It searches the help centre and this blog, and when it tells you how something works it links the article it read. It is instructed not to state a platform rule it did not find — if the search turns up nothing, it says it is not certain and points you at support rather than inventing a policy.

Your own business data. It has a set of read-only lookups covering:

  • Earnings — totals for a month, a quarter or all time, split into confirmed-paid versus still awaiting payment, with booking counts and average booking value.
  • Performance — twelve-month booking and earnings trends, enquiry-to-booking conversion, average response time, occupancy, busiest days of the week, revenue by service type, your rating breakdown and cancellation rate.
  • Clients — your client book with booking counts, lifetime value and last booking date, so it can answer "who has gone quiet" and "who is worth the most" directly.
  • Schedule — upcoming bookings and blocked-off dates in a window you choose.
  • Invoices — what you have issued, and specifically what is still unpaid and how much it adds up to.
  • Reviews — recent reviews, and which ones you have not replied to yet.
  • Profile health — your profile score out of 100, which sections are incomplete, and what each one is worth.

The interesting answers come from combining the two halves. Ask how to get more repeat customers and it will tell you what actually works — and then tell you which five of your clients have not booked in ninety days, and which of those was worth the most.

What it cannot do

Plainly: it cannot change anything.

It cannot block dates in your calendar. It cannot change your rates. It cannot message a client, accept a booking, create an invoice, or reply to a review on your behalf. If you ask it to do any of those, it will say so and tell you exactly where to go and what to click.

That is deliberate. An assistant with write access to a live business is a very different kind of risk — one bad interpretation and it has emailed the wrong client or blocked out your busiest week. Read-only means the worst thing a misunderstanding can produce is a wrong sentence you can argue with, not a wrong action you have to undo.

It also will not give you tax, legal or veterinary advice. It will point you at the relevant guide and tell you to talk to a professional, which is the correct answer to those questions anyway.

It only ever sees your business

Your assistant is scoped to your business at the level of the code, not by asking it politely. There is no question you can type — and no question anyone else can type — that widens it to another sitter's earnings, clients or reviews. It is not a shared chatbot with a filter in front of it; each sitter's assistant is built with access to exactly one business, and that business is yours.

Your conversation is yours too. Nobody else's assistant can read your thread, and yours cannot read theirs.

One more thing worth knowing: client names, notes and review text are treated as data, never as instructions. If something in your client book contains text that looks like a command, the assistant ignores it and mentions that the content looked odd.

How many questions you get

The quota is weekly, not daily, and it resets every Monday.

  • Free: 5 questions a week. These cover how the platform works, how to price, how to convert enquiries, how to handle a difficult booking — the whole help centre and blog, in conversation. The counter in the corner of the box tells you what is left.
  • Pro: 50 questions a week. Ten times as many, plus every tool above that reads your own numbers.

Weekly rather than daily is a deliberate choice. A daily cap punishes exactly the session this is built for: sitting down on a Sunday evening to go through a whole month. A weekly allowance lets you spend it in one sitting and still have it back within days.

Pro is €199/yr + VAT for the first 100 subscribers and €299/yr + VAT after that — details on the pricing page. As always, every plan keeps 100% of booking earnings. The assistant is a tool, not a toll.

Why answers take twenty seconds

Because it is genuinely doing the work. When you ask what you earned in July, it runs a real query against your real bookings and adds them up — it does not guess from a summary or pattern-match a plausible number.

Most answers land in ten to thirty seconds, and while it works you can see what it is doing rather than watching a spinner. That is slower than a chatbot that makes something up instantly, and it is the entire point. A confidently wrong number about your own money is the one answer this thing must never give.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need Pro to use it?

No. Free includes 5 questions a week covering how the platform works and how to grow your business. Pro adds the lookups that read your own earnings, clients, schedule, invoices, reviews and analytics — and raises the allowance to 50 a week.

Can it see my clients' personal details?

It reads your client book the same way you do — the names, booking history and notes that are already yours. It cannot reach anything you cannot already see on your own dashboard.

Can it send messages to my clients?

No. It is read-only and cannot message anyone, on your behalf or otherwise.

What language does it answer in?

The one you write in. Ask in French and it answers in French.

What happens when I run out of questions?

The count resets on Monday. On Free, you will also see the option to upgrade; on Pro, it is simply a wait until the reset.

Where do the numbers come from?

Your own bookings, invoices, clients and reviews on The Pet Sitter — the same records the Earnings, Clients and Analytics tabs are built from. If a number disagrees with your dashboard, tell us, because it should not.

Log in and look at the top of your dashboard — the box is already there. Start with the question you actually want answered, not a test question. And if it gets something wrong, tell us; a human reads everything.
