What is Dog Daycare?

Dog daycare is daytime care at a sitter's home or premises while you are at work or away. Each provider describes their setting and maximum pet capacity on their profile.

A smaller home group can suit dogs who prefer a quieter pace. A purpose-built daycare may offer separate play areas and staff cover. In either setting, ask how dogs are grouped, supervised and given time to rest.

Sitters set their own rates. Confirm the total, currency and any agreed extras before booking, then pay the sitter directly. The Pet Sitter is free and takes no booking commission; an external payment provider may charge its own fees.

Frequently asked questions

What hours does daycare cover?

Daycare typically runs from morning drop-off (7–9am) to evening pick-up (5–7pm). Exact hours vary by sitter — check their profile or discuss during the meet-and-greet.

How many dogs will mine be with?

The maximum is listed on each sitter's profile. Ask how many dogs will be present during your booking and how groups are separated and supervised.

Does my dog need to be vaccinated?

Yes, most sitters require up-to-date vaccinations (at minimum: distemper, parvovirus, and kennel cough). Bring proof of vaccination to the meet-and-greet.

Can I book daycare for just 1–2 days a week?

Yes! Many owners use daycare 2–3 days per week rather than every day. Your sitter will work with you to find a schedule that suits both of you.

How do I find doggy daycare near me?

Public search for daycare providers is coming soon. Use a sitter's shared profile or booking link to review their setting, capacity and reviews, then arrange a visit before booking.

Is home dog daycare good for puppies?

Often, yes. The small groups and quieter pace of home daycare suit puppies who would be overwhelmed by a large commercial facility, and the sitter can keep up toilet-training and feeding routines during the day. Look for sitters who mention puppy experience on their profile and discuss your pup's needs at the meet-and-greet.
