How do I sign up as a pet sitter on The Pet Sitter?
Signing up is free: your name, email address, location and acceptance of the terms. Your profile page and booking link work straight away for anyone you share them with. You can add clients and use messaging without profile approval. Before taking a booking, add a priced service; for a proposal to an imported client, they first need to receive your invitation and sign in with that email address. Invoice generation requires Pro and available invoicing, not profile approval. Add your photos, bio and availability when you are ready; your checklist shows what is needed to request a human profile review. Approval makes your page eligible for search-engine indexing while search-engine visibility is enabled. That setting never disables your shared links.
What are the requirements to become a pet sitter?
You need genuine experience caring for pets and a suitable environment for the services you offer. We look for complete, honest profiles with clear descriptions of your experience and high-quality photos of your space. There are no formal certifications required, but professional qualifications such as pet first aid or industry accreditations are welcomed and displayed as trust badges on your profile.
Is it really free to get started?
Yes. The Free plan is free forever and card-free. You get a public profile page, a permanent booking link, bookings, and messaging at no cost — it's a permanent plan, not a trial. (Public search for owners is coming soon; your profile page and booking link work today.) Paid plans add business software on top when you want it: Pro is €199/yr + VAT at the founding rate for the first 100 Pro subscribers, rising to €299/yr + VAT after that. You're never forced to upgrade.
